A Great Weekend

Well our weekend started with date night in a bag.(I am so blessed by Jason and his thoughtfulness)  Then little miss was being adorable for the camera as you can see.  We ended up having to take 3 showers in one day because Sophia kept throwing up on mommy. LOL!  But hey Praise God we have a little one, who cares if she throws up on me.  Then Monday we were so blessed to have the day off together and we got to spend some sweet time with family and friends.  And to make an end to a wonderful weekend the boys made Katie and I dinner and we watched an episode of lost.  Isn't God gracious to give us sweet times like this that we truly do not deserve.  He is so kind to us!

Sophia's First Car

I know that many of you may be questioning our parental wisdom in getting Sophia her first car already, but we felt that she has matured quickly, and is ready for this new responsibility.

The Texas Department of Public Safety restricted her Drivers Permit to allow her to operate a vehicle only under parental supervision, and not outside the family living room.

Sophia would like to thank Owen Boys for letting her borrow his car, and she is considering getting some new rims and a better stereo system.

Daddy and Sophia

Jason and Sophia love to spend time together.  It is fun for me to watch.  They have such a sweet relationship and I am so blessed by it.  They love to snuggle and play.  Aren't they cute!

A Great Mothers Day

Here they are - the two moms in all of their glory.
Thank God for moms.
This mothers day, we got to spent some really special time with mom
just "hangin" around the house.

Aunt Erin and Sophia certainly had the most fun of the day,
especially on our walk around the neighborhood . Then came the Strawberry Shortcake.
What started as Erin helping me in the kitchen
quickly turned into an all-out
Strawberry Shortcake Celebration and Competition.

Of course, the judges (Claire and mom) were called in
to determine who made the most scrumdiddlyumptious shortcake.
Due to the overwhelming amount of whip cream on my shortcakes,
Erin's lovely cakes trumped mine 2 to nothing.
^ The Winning Shortcake (seen above) ^

Overall, we had an awesome time just hanging out
around the house and enjoying each others company.
The Drumm Roll Blogsite says, "Hat's off" to mom's everywhere - especially ours.
Have your shortcake and eat it too.

"My First Vacation" by Sophia Drumm

This weekend my mommy, daddy, uncle Timmy and aunt Katie and I went on my first vacation.  It was really fun!  So I thought I would tell everyone all about it.

First in the morning we went to the Dr and found out I am going to have a little sister and her name is Alaythia Grace.  I am so excited to be a big sister.

Then we drove in the car and I was a big girl going in the car for a long time.  We found our cabin and it was right on a lake, it was very very pretty.  And we saw a really big crockigator.
I got to go swimming too!  I had a blast!  One evening uncle Timmy and aunt Katie played bubbles with me.  I love to catch them and play with my feet too.

Alaythia Grace Drumm

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God...and the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth." -John 1

Alaythia Grace (truth and grace) weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. She's about 10 inches from head to heel— the length of a banana. Here are the first pictures ever taken of Alaythia Grace Drumm, taken last Thursday:Thanks to everyone who showed up for our ultrasound! What a blast to have you all in the room with us to share such a special moment in our family's life. We're so thankful you could be there.

Here is a diagram of the development of a baby at 20 weeks.

Thank you all for your prayers for Alaythia. More importantly - your prayers for her mom and dad. We need 'em! The Lord has been so gracious to us, as Claire is not currently experiencing any of the symptoms of Gestational Diabetes, which, as you know, was a concern. She has low iron levels, but will be taking an iron suplement. No biggie.
Meanwhile, Alaythia and Claire are both in great health.
Daddy and Sophia aren't doin' so bad either :-)
